Inspiration: Pushing Daisies

I draw a lot of style inspiration from one of my favourite shows, Pushing Daisies, which ran for only 2 seasons from 2007 to 2009 and starred Lee Pace, Anna Friel, Kristin Chenoweth and Chi McBride. Created by Bryan Fuller, it was a wonderfully whimsical and romantic series about a pie-maker, who has the power to wake the dead, and his alive-again childhood sweetheart. If you haven't seen it, I strongly urge you to check it out!I loved the entire  aesthetic of the show, with its deeply saturated palette and playful use of patterns. In particular, the show's leading lady, Chuck Charles, had the most fabulous wardrobe, with gorgeous dresses and matching coats and shoes, not to mention some pretty awesome hats. If nothing else, her style inspired me to not be afraid of bold colours. Why not wear bright yellow or pink? They're so much more cheerful and happiness-inducing.
